Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Increases Reward for Info on Two Murders Involving Children

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced that a charitable donation by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Foundation has increased the rewards for two recent murder investigations involving children. JSO Homicide Unit responded to two separate murder investigations where children fell victim to unnecessary violence within days of each other.

On Saturday, September 24, 2023, shortly after 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of A.C. Skinner Parkway in reference to a triple murder involving a 3-year-old victim. Witnesses stated to investigators, that two unknown black males were seen fleeing the scene possibly in a black sedan.

Three days later, on September 27, 2023, a 6-year-old was murdered, and a 12-year-old was struck by gunfire in the 100 block of King Street. A black male with a light complexion was seen by witnesses fleeing the scene on foot.

JSO has been advised that a charitable donation by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Foundation has increased the rewards for these cases to a total of $13,000 for each individual case for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible.
