Orlando Smoke Shop Owner, Four Others Indicted on Drug Trafficking and Firearms Charges

Orlando, Florida — A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging five men in connection with an investigation into a local smoke shop alleged to have served as a marketplace for both narcotics and firearms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

The charges stem from an investigation of Smoke Break Productions, an Orlando smoke shop operated by 42-year-old Angel Luis Carrasquillo. Prosecutors allege Carrasquillo ran the shop as a front to distribute illegal drugs and guns.

  • Angel Luis Carrasquillo (42, Orlando) — alleged to have operated Smoke Break Productions and engaged in multiple drug trafficking conspiracies, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and using or carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.

  • Andrew Abbott (35, Brooksville) — alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

  • Christopher Alonnzo (23, Orlando) — also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
