A man was killed during an apparent road rage-fueled confrontation earlier this morning in Orlando. Investigators barricaded several blocks from westbound traffic after the shooting, which happened around 6:24 a.m. near the 4800 block of Colonial Dr.
Officials have yet to disclose the victim’s name as the investigation continues. Orlando Police Department posted the following statement earlier today on their social media accounts:
“The Orlando Police Department is conducting an investigation in the 4800 block of East Colonial Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to ORMC where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene. The shooting that occurred was the result of a road rage incident.
The other individual involved in the incident remained on scene. This is all the information we have to share at this time. We will provide additional updates as they become available.”
