Deputies Investigating Drive-By Shooting During Spring Hill Open House Party
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting at a residence in Spring Hill that happened early Sunday morning.
The sheriff’s office said the shooting occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday outside of a home on the 6400 block of Holiday Drive, where an open house party was happening.
One person was identified three hours later after they arrived at the emergency room of a nearby hospital. The person was shot in the hand and has non-life-threatening injuries, deputies say.
“Detectives are continuing to follow up on numerous leads in the case and are making progress in their investigation,” the sheriff’s office wrote in the news release.
