Florida Man Arrested with Enough Fentanyl to Kill 12,550 People

A felon was arrested in Brevard County, Florida when he was reportedly found to have enough Fentanyl to kill 12,550 people.

According to a report from Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Terry Ozell Suggs has a lengthy and violent criminal history, consisting of approximately 70 felony charges, 38 misdemeanor charges, 17 felony convictions and 17 misdemeanor convictions. Suggs’ arrests date back to 1987 and include but are not limited to: Aggravated Battery LEO, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Violation of Probation, Possession of Cocaine, Sale of Cocaine, and numerous other crimes.

“Our job is to protect our citizens, our children, and our community from criminals and drug dealers like this guy, Terry Ozell Suggs,” Ivey said. “On Wednesday, members of our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at Suggs’ residence on Jackson Street in Cocoa, following an investigation into his illicit drug activities.”

During a subsequent search of the premises, an overwhelming amount of narcotics were found along with two handguns, a rifle magazine, and various amounts of ammunition.

Seized from inside the apartment were:
– 87.1 grams cocaine base
– 33.3 grams cocaine HCL
– 197 grams methamphetamine
– 25.1 grams fentanyl
– 56.6 grams MDMA
– 14.1 grams ecstasy
– 23.4 grams alprazolam
– 92.2 grams MDPV

Ivey said the volume of fentanyl seized is enough to kill 12,550 people if put into a lethal dose. Suggs was arrested and taken to Brevard County Jail, with the following charges:

– Resisting Arrest Without Violence
– Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
– Trafficking in Fentanyl
– Trafficking in Cocaine
– Trafficking in Methamphetamine
– Trafficking in MDMA
– Trafficking in MDPV
Rent. Lease, Own Property for Trafficking
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Possession of Controlled Substance (5 Counts)
