Kissimmee Pizza Delivery Driver Robs,Stabs Pregnant Woman Over $2 Tip
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was stabbed 14 times in front of her 5-year-old daughter after 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo became upset over a poor tip for a pizza delivery, according to documents obtained by WESH 2.
The incident occurred late Sunday night at the Riviera Motel on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, as reported by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found the victim on the bed with stab wounds to her chest, arms, legs, and abdomen. She was taken to the hospital, where she underwent surgery for a ruptured lung.
The woman’s boyfriend explained that they were at the motel with her daughter to celebrate his birthday. They had ordered a pizza from Marco’s Pizza Shop, which totaled $33.10. The victim handed Alvelo, the pizza delivery driver, $50 in cash and requested change. Alvelo informed her that she did not have any change, prompting the woman to search her wallet and car for smaller bills. Ultimately, she tipped Alvelo $2, and Alvelo walked away rolling her eyes.
A short time later, the victim heard a loud knock on the door. Deputies reported that a man and a woman wearing masks forced their way into the motel room at that moment. They ordered the boyfriend to go into the bathroom and began rummaging through the victim’s belongings and even breaking the 5-year-old’s Nintendo Switch.
In an effort to protect her daughter, the victim turned away from the masked woman, later identified as Alvelo, and that’s when she felt a hard blow to her back and discovered she was bleeding. The victim attempted to retrieve her phone, but Alvelo seized it and smashed it.
The attack ceased when the masked man told Alvelo it was time to leave. Deputies identified Alvelo through video footage, and the vehicle she used for the delivery matched the one driven by the masked duo when they returned to their motel room. The pizza shop confirmed that Alvelo had been making deliveries that night. The manager at Marco’s Pizza assisted Osceola County sheriff’s detectives in identifying Alvelo. The manager, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Alvelo underwent a thorough background check upon hiring, and nothing in her history raised any concerns.
Alvelo is facing multiple charges, including home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. She has been booked into the Osceola County Jail without bond, according to the OCSO. The male suspect involved in the incident has not yet been identified.
